Recap: Mick Chapman Memorial Road Race

Venue: Hunter Economic Zone, Kurri Kurri

RACE RECAP

Dhuez Racing were front and centre for the Mick Chapman Memorial Road Race held at HEZ on Saturday 15th September 2018.

Conditions were gruelling with temperatures reaching the mid-30s and ensuring a tough race for all competitors. Dhuez Racing was prominent as always with Mick Curran getting himself in an early 2-man break with the eventual winner (Jesse Ewart) but he was unable to hold on as Ewart held a phenomenal pace and pushed on for a long-range solo victory.

Ben Neppl lead the DRT troops home and won a two-man sprint for 2nd place.

Mick Curran finished in 5th and once again got himself in the podium shot!
